Hi, Currently my TIA Portal is V13 SP1 Update 8 one. My question is did I need to upgrade everything to V15 one to do the programming? |

Programming of what which CPU? With update 8 you can program s7-1200 up to firmware version 4.2 after adding the appropriate HSP. Edit: It look like only 4.1 can be configured in the software but if my memory serves right you can still communicate and download to a 4.2 but without any of the features specific to 4.2. Hopefully I'm not way off. |

I have a feeling I'm missing the point. Do you have a CPU with an existing program that you want to edit or are you planning on programming a new CPU? And what's a 1510 , I'm not familiar with it. ( If you have the part number please post it. Edit: I guess you meant ET 200SP 1510SP. I've never used one. But if you are programming a new system simply open up TIA 13-SP1 update 8 that you have and add the hardware and see which firmware versions are available. |

ET200SP CPU 1510 is available in TIA v13, but not with the latest firmware as was written before me. You can use a never firmware CPU with TIA v13, it will just give you a warning that the online and offline CPU firmware's are different. That doesn't prevent you from using the CPU. |
