Hello,

I made a screen with EaxyXML into the "Custom" area.

In this screen I placed a button, which sets the operating mode just as in the MCP panel. It writes a bit into the PLC input image, simulating a button pressing. Jog & Auto.

Working great, but as soon as I press the button, the screen switches to the "Machine area".

This can be a good feature, but not for me.

How can I avoid that?

I do not know if this relevant, but it is a standard Siemens Operate.

And in the upper right corner there is a operating mode changer icon.

The change to the Machine area is probably not related to your EasyXML, but rather default Operate behavior.

You can change this using setting data 51040, SWITCH_TO_MACHINE_MASK.  Set bit 1 to NOT switch to the Machine area when changing the operating mode.

On a somewhat related note, you can choose the default mode at powerup using MD 10720, OPERATING_MODE_DEFAULT.  The default setting of 7 starts in Jog/Ref, but you can choose any mode for each channel.
