Hi!

My place of work are slowly but surely moving over to Siemens PLC's from other brands. And because of this i am trying to find a suitable laptop for both field adjustments and development/design at the office. 

Projects consists of PLC's such as S7-1500, ET-200SP and S7.1200. Aswell as HMI screens up to 15 inches, typically an tp1200.

I do have a SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional license, but im struggling to utilize it at my computer at work. Which makes me having to do it on my personal computer at home which is not optimal.

I have limited knowledge of laptops, which is why i require some guidance. 

Will a computer with  an I7-8565U processor and 8GB DDR4 ram (2400MHz) with a 256 GB SSD be enough to run TIA portal without running slow and laggy?

Any input on this matter would be very much appreciated

RAM is not enough 16GB or 32 GB

and a larger SSD

Just ordered a laptop with an i7-8565U, 16GB RAM and and 512 gb PCIe SSD.

Hope that does the job
