But now I have some questions and I was hoping someone could help me. I have to automatize32 machines that are all the same. The cycle of each machine is long, which means I don't need an extremly fast reaction time. I have to choose between two alternatives regarding the communication between the devices on each machine. The pictures with the two alternatives is attached. I have two questions: 1) Can I communicate the four 1511-1PN PLCs with the HMI Confort TP1500 panel using the CP1543-1 industrial ethernet communicationmodule and a scalance 206 switch? I know PROFINET IO protocol won't work if I do it this way, so which protocol should I use? I need to transfer from the panel to each one of the PLCs: working parameters, operation mode, set beggining of each workingcycle and similar things. I will use the PROFINET interface of each PLC to communicate with theET200 modules. 2) Is it better if I use the PROFINET interface of the PLC so I can make the communication of the four PLCs and the HMI panel using PROFINET IO protocol? This will mean I will have to communicate with the ET200 modules through a PROFIBUS connection, since one PLC can't communicate with two differentPROFINET IO networks. Thanks for the help!
