BRAKING CHOPPER ISSUE

vidhyadharan Posts: 39 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir, Im using the control unit cu240e-2dp for the sinamics G120,PM 240 200kw drive.And I have connected the 100kw,185amps external Braking chopper. Now the Drive panel is under testing condition.And I have not connected any motor in the output side. But It is showing some output voltage range of 570vDC in the output side of the braking chopper terminals. If anything is need to be parameterized,let me know. Please help me to sort out the issue.

zako_ Gold Member Joined: 5/22/2012 Last visit: 3/24/2022 Posts: 895 Rating: (67)	... what is your problem? Do you get a fault? A DC- link voltage of 540V DC is absolut normal. You can test in V/f mode and you shouldn´t get any fault, also when no motor is connected.

Jeff Casagrande Posts: 1529 Rating: (203)	I think everyone is misunderstanding the problem (or I am). The problem is he is reading DC link voltage across the output of the brake chopper when the brake chopper should not be active and should read 0 volts. This is a bad thing.
