Unable to download FC

Do you wan't to overwrite it? //not my concern opting yes... 2nd message: Unable to copy FC. //need help here in my fc i copy paste a scaling block from a network in a new network 9, gave appropriate addesses, downloaded everything fine till then. but after doing some other changes in network 9 and then downloading above thing happened block got saved network nine in offline fc different than in online fc. want to remove network 9 now to have the same program as before.

Hello, If you had the same function number before, check what element did you add to the function?Normally, small CPUs have some limitations regarding memory and resources like that.Provide the order number of CPU and part of program that made the problem. Besides when i'm trying to remove that scaling block or any changes in that fc it is showing unable to copy fc. The online fc is now different than the offline fc. How can this be corrected without loading a previous backup. Can I delete online fc and copy from offline without cpu going in stop mode or anything like that? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Hello again, It is reallly hard to recommend a remedial action based on data provided.It is possible to overwrite an online version of a Function with the older version in basic version of STEP 7.It depends on the case and I don't suggest doing so while the machine is running.You can provide both online and original offline project to tell you more about the cause of the problem and also how to solve it. Downloaded the DB in downtime, not so sure of the consequence that may happen to do so in running plant, but i'm being advised not to do so. If any thoughts on later please do tell. Hello, There cases that are benifical to consider in future cases: CPU rejects downlad of certain of blocks in practice.If block number is illegal for CPU or addresses used are out of scope of CPU(Global merker).Normally, in those cases CFC editor acts more wisely compared to the LAD/STL/FBD editor.As an example an H-CPU will refuse accepting OB101 to be downloaded because this mode is not defined for that CPU.To avoid such a case, in programming phase check the spec. of CPU. Missing addresses or missing addresses for DBs will be reported via diagnostic buffer.This is an error in programming and would be supressed to avoid CPU going into STOP mode.Careful programming will reduce the risk of such problems.
