SIMATIC HMI touch screen (IPC 577C 15”) problems

Abdulla Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	Dear All I have below serious problems in SIMATIC HMI touch screen (IPC 577C 15”) 1. 1.Touch screen sensitive is very low, I have to touch continues for more than 500ms in order for screen t sense. 2. 2.Touch is not calibrated to the right space where the operator touch. I try to run calibration procedure many times, but no advanced, I use to record other similar touch screen calibration parameters and apply it here, but also no advantage. If there is any solution please inform me. 3.HMI screen has internal WinCC Flexible runtime SP2, I use for my development computer WinCC flexible with SP3, and unfortunately HMI is not accepting to download software from SP3. Please guide me how to upgrade HMI to accept SP3. 4.HMI has two (2) Ethernet port, I define first one to be (192.168.0.1) while the second is (192.168.1.1) in order to link to two different network, the problem I face is during runtime, WinCC flexible somehow forcing the first Ethernet port to hold its real IP (192.168.0.1) and also one additional virtual IP (192.168.1.107), and as result, HMI is not able to deal with second network because windows trying to reach it through first port!, this really make me crazy and I don’t know how can I manage that and disable the virtual port. Did you usethe right driver for the operation system? i don´t know, but maybe they are new driver available for the IPC -> ask the customer support. How old are the IPC? Maybe the screen have adefect. Ask your siemens agent what you can do -> send to repair center? WinCC flexible Runtime: You need for the SP3 Runtime a new licence. But you need only a upgrade licence from SP2 to SP3. Ethernet: Whatwill you do. Connect to two different networks? I mean. Look to the "PG/PC Inerface" (System > PG/PC interface) You need for each ethernet card one access point. So you have to add for the second ethernet card a new access point. This could be the problem. Note: In the project uner the connections settings you have to use the two differnt Name under "Access point". For sample "Connection 1" => Access point "S7ONLINE" "Connection 2" => Access point "S7ONLINE2" I hope some of this answer could help you. (I did not have more ideas) regards,

(I did not have more ideas) regards, Thank you for your support and answer. HMI operating system is Windows XP, windows and drivers already installed on HMI, and I never touch. I only use software available on HMI to re calibrate touch, but still touch is very lazy compared to similar HMI available on the site. in WinCC flexible, I use only one connection, and I change parameters during runtime, this way is working on other HMI, but here I don't know how the virtual IP generated?!

I already search on web and I try this with regedit, but it is not working. Actually I believe something in WinCC felxible generating this virtual IP, since without operating WinCC runtime, virtual IP will not be there. I need to know what is it!.

The Brain Posts: 1611 Rating: (121)	Hi, I'm not sure, but I had a similar problem some time ago. I just do not remember exactly whether it was about a "Virtual IP". I have try to download a PLC Program, but theSubnet maskfrom the PLC was not in the same SUB-Net as the PC. Duriing transfer i get a message, that "Windows" use a new IP Address......After then i could not download and communicate to other devices. I have "Disable" the Netadapter and Enable" again. After then all was fine !!! Maybe you should check your IP Settings. I think there something wrong..... regards,
