Connection problem to HMI-Panel through remote connection

PuikkoP Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	Hi, We have project where we have CPU 317-2 and TP1500 Comfort panel. Used software is TIA Portal V12 SP1. CPU 317-2 X2 Port 2 is connected to TP1500 X2 P1. Remote connection is connected to CPU317-2 X2 Port 1. I can go online and everything is working as should be for CPU. But TP1500 is not working as it should be. I can't go online. Localy everything was working when I connected PG directly to the CPU 317-2 X2 Port 2 and now situation should be same. Remote connection is done with Tosibox and it sees both devices okay. Tosibox is connected from port LAN1 to CPU X2 Port 1. Should I also make connect from Tosibox LAN2 to HMI X2 Port 1? But I think I should be able to load HMI through the CPU, because after all those are in same subnet. Just thinking is there something what I have configured or done wrong in Siemens side or is the problem in remote connection? I have tried all different PG/PC connections. Best regards, PP

Even thou it's suposed to act like a "cable" between the PG and factory network. I have done some testing in office and I noticed something new. When I connect CPU and panel to same network and then directly PG to same network, I can download and check "Online & Diagnostic" and also just "Go Online" after selecting panel from project tree. But when connection is made through Tosibox, CPU is acting same way. I can do everything I want. Go online from project tree and use also "Online & Diagnostic". Panel in other hand is acting different way, I can't "Go online" from project tree or use "Online & Diagnostic" it's saying "Not reachable". But when I try to download it is working okay. So I can make changes to the HMI and download those without problem. Just decided to add this info here. I will try to figured out why this "Online & Diagnostic" or project tree "Go online" ain't working as it should be.

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, that sounds evident. you have one network with the tosibox, which connects your pc and cpu. the other network connects the cpu and the panel. if you're directly connected to cpu, there is no second network. if you try to download the panel with tosibox, the cpu routes the connection and there is no problem. but you can't use the other functions. if you try to connect to cpu you're directly connected to it with tosibox, so you can use all functions. if you need the "Go online" I think you have to connect the tosibox to the panel. I have similar problems with Tosibox and TP900 Comfort Panel. I can download changes to HMI, but I can't go online...
