Problem with Focus Blockeditor in Win7-64

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (1000)	Hello friends, I am facing an ugly Problem with Step7 V5.5 SP3. The LAD/FDB/STL Editor is very greedy for the Windows Focus. The focus jump onto the editor window by itself on various occasions. Example (Have a look at attachement): IF I check Block Consistency, every time a new block is compiled, the Windows Focus jump on to blockeditor. If I try to use an other program in the meantime, it is not possible because the focus dissapear immediatly. If I check a large programm, it needs some time until I can use PC again. This Problem only appear at W7-64 machine. Does anyone have same Problem, perhaps a solution? Please only serios answers. Campaign - Point parasites are not welcome and will be punished. Something to highlight is that i have seen such behaviur mostly when i have a lot of S7-Graph blocks (well a lot for me is more than 5 :) ) and those blocks has been configured to use S7 Pdiag and proagent. Sorry, no solution other than update S7 PDiag for this specific situation. Regards.

I dont use PDIAG or ProAgent in this case, but anyway it is worth a test to see, if Graph block bring the problem. Thank you, I will remove the blocks for testing purposes and will give feedback! I'm using Win7 Pro 64 bits and Step7 v5.5+SP4 (K5.5.4.0) Before, I was using Windows XP 32 bit, and I did not have this problem. Have you find a solution to this ? Is it related to SCL editor ? I've the same behaviour when doing the HWConfig compilation !! It keeps getting the focus... I found this interested information : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19787688/how-should-application-be-using-foregroundlocktimeout-registry-value I tried to change the value in windows registry, but I've still the same behaviour. Then I check in the windows registry for other occurences, but found none. ==== Edit : there are others occurencies ! I changed all of them, I'll check the effect tomorow after reboot :-) == If someone has some ideas or want to test this, please be kind :-) Regards Seb

I confirme IBN-Service, I've the same issue with Step7 v5.5+SP4 (K5.5.4.0) Regarding my previous post with the windows registry, for this keyword "ForegroundLockTimeout", I can find it in different locations in the registry : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Control Panel\Desktop HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Control Panel\Desktop HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Control Panel\Desktop HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1671594942-2757763771-3116433409-3667\Control Panel\Desktop When I've restarted my computer, the value of the first registry key was set back to '0' !!! I dond't know how this is possible, which software did this modification. The others keys haven't been changed. If someone has some ideas... Regards Seb
