Simatic manager needed

WaelRamadan Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have a S7-300 PLC and i wanted to get a laptop so i can upload and download the programs on to the PLC i am not much of an expert in this so i wanted your help 1- do i need a Special Simatic manager for S7-300 or any manager will do (if you know like a product number or something) 2- Laptop specs( any normal Laptop will work or do i need a special specs for it) thanks in advance

What are the essential differences between STEP 7 Lite and STEP 7 / STEP 7 Professional? Which SIMATIC software packages are compatible with which Microsoft Windows operating system and with STEP 7 V5.5? Which SIMATIC software can you install in 64-bit operating systems?

1.for s7-300 or s7-400 programming you need simatic manager v5.5sp3.

Just a CAT5 CAT6 cable would do. If you have a CPU with MPI / Profibus Ports only the you would need a PC UCB Adaptor 6GK1571-0BA00-0AA0 - PC ADAPTER USB A2 Hope this helps Cheers Navnag
