Alternate Timeout in Modbus Communication for Siemens 7Sr1205 relay

Amarjeet Singh Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I am trying to communicate with the Siemens 7SR1205 relay using Modbus communication. I have tried multiple utilities (CAS Modbus Scanner and Modscan) and face a peculiar problem in all of them. My alternate request give me valid response while alternate request result in timeout. I have tried increasind the timeout to 3 seconds as well. Below are some print outputs from CAS Modbus Scanner: [12:47:47] <= Response: 02 02 01 00 A1 CC [12:47:47] => Poll: 02 02 00 00 00 01 B9 F9 [12:47:46] Error, Timeout - No response to poll [12:47:44] => Poll: 02 02 00 00 00 01 B9 F9 [12:47:29] <= Response: 02 04 02 00 09 3D 36 [12:47:29] => Poll: 02 04 00 00 00 01 31 F9 [12:47:28] Error, Timeout - No response to poll [12:47:26] => Poll: 02 04 00 00 00 01 31 F9 The relay is connected to my PC via a USB-Modbus controller. I have tried multiple controllers as well but face the same problem. It seems to me that I am missing something very obvious due to such a repeated pattern. Any help will be appreciated
