roland_k Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody! I watching the forum and never finding in the forum for Gildermesiter MF Sprint 65 machine Siemens 840c controller. I have got a any problem. We have got two gildermeister machine in this controller but at the first machine part program writing and saving then the second machine don't enable the program. The question is a program compatibility is wrong or the siemens 840c controller version?! The siemens book writing how to use polar koordinate funkcion but the machine don't use this. (G12.1, G13.1) The machine only used transformation coordinate (G130 and G131)? How to fixibality in this problems? Thanks for answer. roland_k

I'm sorry for my question its not cleaned. To my first question and problem is the cnc program saving (the first machine) and copy to second machine that was resolved. Second problem and question is the polar mod using. The siemens book writing how to use polar coordinate function. But the machine don't use this. (G12.1, G13.1) The machine used the transformation mod (G-code). G130 and G131. N55 G131 N56 G16 X14= Y14= X Z N60 G0 G42 X14=28.284 Y14=0 F1600 N65 G1 X14=0 Y14=28.284 N70 G1 X14=-28.284 Y14=0 N75 G1 X14=0 Y14=-28.284 N80 G1 X14=28.284 Y14=0 N90 G0 G40 X14=50 N91 G0 Z-2.6 N92 G130 (This program is milling a 20x20 mm square for diameter 16mm mill in axial mode.) But the best programing the polar mode using is G12.1 and G13.1 (ISO polar mode) The controller dosn't enable this code and mode! What is the problem for while i'm using to the ISO polar mode? Have you got this machine gildemeister mf sprint 65 siemens 840c controller or you working to this machine? You milling for this machine at any part? How to you writing a program for mill tool at turning part? Have you got any help or documentation for programing to this machine? I can give some suggestion -- you can try to turning the "key switch" (black,green,red color) turn it to position "2", using Green key turn to the end--will be position-2. or you can input password;"1111" in Diagnosis " menu. then coming back to "program" that shoul be enable write, copy save...every function. try and post feedback. good luck.

SpikeC Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Greetings, I don't know where you're at on your programming problem but to my knowledgeSiemens controls do not use G codes with a . in them like you are stating. G13.1 is not a legal code, G131 is. I know that G codes with the . in them are used in Fanuc controls but not in the Siemens. You stated you prefer Polar coordinates. Do you have a SINUMERIK 840C Programming Guide 01.99 Edition? Look insection 8.5 for information for programming using Polar coordinates. Good luck, Spike.
