Overflow problem AI Module

jinga Posts: 26 Rating: (2)	Good morning, I have a problem in connecting a Temperature-Humidity sensor to a SM1231 AI module (6ES7 231-4HD30-0XB0) connected to a 1214C DC/DC/RLY. The sensor has a 4-20 mA output and if I measur e the output current using an amperometer it is ok (i.e. it is in the nominal range). However, when I connect it to the PLC, it always gives an overflow error. The transmitter is 2-wire, and all of the channels of the module (that are unused) are set to 4-20 mA. Someone's got any idea what the problem might be? Thank you. Valeria

Valeria My guess - just a guess since there are no screenshots of the hardware and online configuration or diagnostic buffer or hardware diagnostics to help us help you -- you forgot to download the hardware configuration after selecting the 0-20mA scale for the sensor. If you did not forget to do this, maybe you have a current simulator and can wire one up to the inputs to see what is going on. Maybe it is the L+ and M need to be powered up on the AI module.
