Hi! Anyone could help me? I'm a bit desperated.

Some weeks ago, I installed a WinCC 7.2 project in a PC. When the runtime started, the connection to the plc didn't work. At the end, it was because the wincc was the only sw installed, and I needed the simatic sw. So, I installed s7 (suppose it had simatic) and automatically it worked.

Now, i'm in the same situation in other project, although I've installed wincc and the Simatic sw only, without Step7. And the connections don't work. I have to configure anything o similar?

I have two connections: tcp/ip for an et200 plc, and a Simatic S7-1200/1500 channel for a 1214 plc.

In the error log that you mention I can see this lines:

"S7 channel tcp/ip activated

cannot connect to "connection": error code 0xFFDF 42c2

s7 channel deactivated

s7channel dll deactivated"

Please install the missing "Simatic Net" from your WinCC DVD.

Ok, i've erased Simatic Net SW and installed S7 Professional.  Now, the pg/pc interface problem seems solved and the tcp/ip connection works. But the 1200 connection appears as Not Connected. This is the configuration I have(attached). Do I need anything more to make it run?

In the Step7 project of the 1200 cpu you have the properties of the cpu where you can set "Protection".

Here the cpu can be password protected or it can simply have full read/write access (no password).

Also, depending on firmware version, you also have to allow the PUT/GET or you will not be able to read/write to the plc. This is also set in the Protection property.

Check this setting.

The Put/Get checkbox was already activated .
