Can anyone explain me the concept of Lenght unit (LU)in EPOS. by example for rotary and linear

I dont understand how this LU value need to set according to encoder revolution or according to load revolution. Please tell me the way to understand the concept of it.

Previously I have requested to Siemens HQ this question :

I have a doubt for Length unit (LU).
I dont understand the Meaning of LU per load revolution
I have studied manual but can not understand the meaning of this term.

For example if I want to travel 2000 mm and my gear ratio is 10 motor revolution and 1 load revolution .
How much LU i have to set.
please explain by any example for Linear motion and Rotary motion.

I recieved the answer is :

IF you need to set LU per load revolution first (p2506).
Therefore you open Mechanics picture in Starter.

If for example your machine moves 2350mm per load revolution you set p2506 = 235000 LU.
So you get a resolution 1/100 mm.
If you want to travel relative 2000 mm you send to set position 200000 LU.
If you want to achieve a resolution of 1/1000mm you need to set p2506=2350000 LU.
So if you want to travel relative 2000 mm you send to set position 2000000 LU.
Example 2:
If you want to have a rotary axis you can set p2506=360000 LU.(See attachment)
So you get a resolution of 1/1000 degrees.
If you want to do one turn (360°) you send to set positon 360000 LU.

Can anyone help me to understand this example.

6. What is limitation of encoder (which encoder is possible in active homing and passive homing)

          I understand the LU concept clearly. But i want some more clarification. In the explanation its mentioned that resolution depends on the encoder. What i understand is, its based on the number of pulses. But how can select my resolution based on the encoder type and pulse values.

   One more clarification if i am entering P2506=10000LU, how drive knows 10mm with 1000 resolution or 100mm with 100 resolution or ETC.... where we are entering the resolution value in the drive. Then based on resolution motor will run the No of rotation. Kindly give me some more detail information of my question.
