Smiffy liked IBN's post so TIA is programmed on VB .NET? Old Step7 was programmed with VB also, what I heard. Pls Smiffy can you confirm pls?

My first steps was with some 86 XT (2x Floppy, very comfortable) and a sharp 1403 (Uhhhhhh!! Groovy!)

My first professional steps was already on a 286 machine DOS 4.0 and WFW 3.11.
With 2 (TWO!!!) MB of RAM it was the fastest machine I ever owned.

Heh, really like me. My friend had that Sharp and putted inside some needed formulas for cheating in math/physics  All thinks that is advanced calculator, lucky men. I was started in 1986 with 8-bit (Sinclair Spectrum), XT, AT and then professionaly as you with 286-16 MHZ. Then 386 SX ... How time is gone...

  you're ahead , I have started with a Macintosh Plus with 1 Mb of RAM (1988), and the program ran only on floppy , scary !!! 

very interesting thread...... at least for users over 40.......

My first contact with computer was an 8086 with 2 floppy disk and a very confortable  green phosfhor screen.

Finally in 2011, my last day in this company, I try to connect it to a s5-95 ..... and it worked....

My first contact with computer was an 8086 with 2 floppy disk and a very confortable  green phosfhor screen.

I start to work with a 286 computer but my first online connection with a plc was done with a PG675 .

My company also had an "old" PG615,I never use it but for 20 years it stay near my desk.

Finally in 2011, my last day in this company, I try to connect it to a s5-95 ..... and it worked....

I hope other "aged" users want to share his first experience......

First computer,  a C64.  Got me through university.  Still have it and it still works.

2nd a TI-44 that I bought new for less than $50 for some reason.  Never really used it.

3rd IBM PS-2  My first real computer.

I missed out on the Radio Shack TRS-80.
