Did you get anywhere with this, I am having exactly the same problem? comms not working 16#0001 error from get function block, and oneway is greyed out in S7 connection? I'm using TIA V13 with CPU 1515SP PC to CPU 1513-1PN(non programmed server) checked all put/get enabled etc & tried all examples???

any help appreciated?

where is written something about "one-way" option.

In my project option thid is grayed and in help for TIAP V13 is written:

"The check box is grayed out (cannot be changed) and not enabled in the following configuration:

The local connection end point and the partner connection end point are S7-400 CPUs.

In this case, STEP 7 automatically creates a two-way connection. An ID (local ID and partner ID) is entered for both the local end point and the end point of the connection partner."

But I have S7-1500 as client (active partner with PUT/GET), and IM151-8 as a server (passive parnter without any connection configured and no PUT/GET functions). No S7-400. So still problem not solved.

Maybe IM151-8 doesn't support communication in this way but the other ones only ?

Any suggestions ?

Hello,

You have different types of communication options are available.

I will talk about only two.

1) Use the I device feature of profinet to communicate S1500 with IM cpu without any communication instruction. You need to create gsdml file of IM and export in Tia portal .

2) Get-Put: My suggestion would be configure the Get-Put instructions in S71500 plc side under TIA portal which quite simple than step 7 5.5

Important note to enable the protection "Get-Put acesss for PLC, HMI, OPC communication " under protection tab of S7 1500 CPU property.

which CPU is client, which server?

Error-Status 16#0001 of Get means following:

Communication problems, for example

• Connection description not loaded (local or remote)

• Connection interrupted (for example: cable, CPU off, CP in STOP mode)

• Connection to partner not yet established

Did you project the connection on both sides? one active, one passive?

Is the connection working?

I wish to establis communication between 2 CPU like below:

1 S7-1500, 6ES7 515-2AM00-0AB0, V1.8 - ACTIVE PARTNER

2 IM151-8, 6ES7 151-8AB01-0AB0, V3.2 - PASSIVE PARNTER

with separate development tools for

1 TIAP V13 SP1 UPD7

2 Step 7 V5.5 + SP3 Release: K5.5.3.0_26.6.0.1

I added in Network in TIAP my im151-8. I wrote a program with PUT/GET in TIAP and get permanent error and status DEC=1.

Usually this fb's outputs shall take only one scan isn't they ?

When I do below procedure communiction start up and works fine.

It looks not good however.

Anny idea what could be wrong ?

I can add that for sure 'Optimized block access' for those exchange DBs is OFF and Connection mechanizm 'Permit access with PUT/GET comm...' is ON in 

Protection field.

Procedure:

1 download to im151-8 config from TIAP

2 downolad again hw to im151-8 from Step 7 HW Config

3 upload from online im151-8 to Step 7 (not to TIAP) SDB

4 Compile in Step 7 HW Config hardware

5 Check by Step 7 Manager if SDB is equal to online = shold be

If in any points between 1 and 3 (including 3) you check SDB from offline in Step 7 Manager you will get the mismatch like the picture Mismatch_SDB_IM151-8.png shows.

as per your requirement I think you need,

1) S7-1500 as active partner & IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU as passive partner.

2) & your programming software --> TIA Portal for :- S7-1500 & Simatic Manager for IM 151-B PN/DP.

now if you want to configure s7-connection you need to do 2 things (hardware setup):-

i) configure your S7-1500 hardware in TIA & also you need to configure only hardware on IM 151-8 PN/DP in TIA as a separate station in single project. Now generate S7 Connection between S7-1500 & IM 151-8 PN/DP in network view, (S7-1500 active & IM as passive). download only S7-1500 hardware from TIA.

ii) in simatic manager configure S7-Connection in netpro & keep IM passive & unspecified at active partner side download this hardware to IM CPU.

note:- just keep all network parameters identical at both end configuration like IP, local ID etc.

regarding get/put instruction (software setup):-

you have to write complete communication program GET/PUT instructions at active partner in task i.e. S7-1500 in your case. you need to mention local data memory pointer address as well as partner data memory pointer address, you need to use pointer addresses in this case, & it might be of "M" memory or "DB" memory, ex. P# DBx.DBX0.0 Byte 100 (max 200 byte in single instruction you can send).

normally DB addresses are suitable for get/put tasks for many reasons.

at passive side partner you have to only open the pointer address which you are giving at GET/PUT instructions & active side. & mapping program of these pointer address memory area in PLC logic wherever require & download this in PLC.

for checking communication you can take hardware online at TIA portal & go to network view where you can see whether your s7-connection is active & ok or not..

Red mark at connection means yet to establish connection & you can diagnose failure reason also there.

green mark at connection means connection successfully established & you can check communicated data at both end at respective mapping.

you can also check errors in communication at GET/PUT blocks if in case of communication failure & you can correct as per error description.
