Hello all,
I have a problem in AI value reading in SM1231 AI module (6ES7 231-4HD32-0XB0) connected to a 1214C AC/DC/RLY. The sensor has a 0-10V output and if I measure the output voltage using an multimeter, the voltage is available and its changing (i.e. it is in the nominal range). However, when I connect it to the PLC, its not showing any value within range. Its always show 32767(overflow) value and it is not changing. The LED's in SM 1231 are fine. i checked the connections too. Dunno where will be the problem...

Can anyone help me???

hi Srini,

how is the sensor connected to the AI-module?

channel 0 has the pins 4(+) and 5(-)

channel 1 has the pins 6(+) and 7(-) on X10

Have a look in the manual of S7-1200, page 1203:

You should Check Sensor to Module Wiring For  mopS04 said to follow , And Programming Configuration also same as ( Voltage /Current ) .

In your post  U said Analog Volt (sensor ) , So u should Configure as Analog Volt In Configuration .

Be sure to select ( -10 to +10 v ) OR ( 0 to 10 v)..

Thanks for the reply. I have connected two Analog signals to 0+ and 1+ ports and corresponding reference potential to 0- and 1- ports.. The hardware configuration is in +/- 10 V only. i want to measure in voltage only.

I have to add this as well. The voltage values are not changing, when i watched in PLC watch table. But when i checked with multimeter in the ports, voltage value keeps on changing(4.4, 4.2, 5.4 like that)

The problem is i am not able to see  in PLC LAD watch table

Can anyone please help me. I gave the connections acccording to the manual....

Which signal/wire goes on which pin?

can you please show us a scetch, how you connected your measurement-device to the SM1231?

Also show the power supply and grounding of the module.

I have attached the SM 1231 connections  in the picture

Further, i have given supply voltage and ground connection as per in manual.

But i am confused like why the values are not changing...You can see the attachment of the LAD program as well...

                     In your Hardware Wiring and Configuration all are Fine .!!??

                     At which Address Ur Seeing In analog Input values..??

  Kindly Ref. Attached image for analog Addressing . Please Use same address in your Program also ..
