Dear Sir, I need your help to solve my problem with Analog Output card. Before we used 6ES5 470-8MB12 but now was broken. Can we change with 6ES5 470-8MC12. Can this card used same function. If can, are there any changing with setting or program for Address Analog Output. Sulistiyo Heri ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello Irwanto; Have a look at this page from an old ST50 Catalog (for S5 modules): https://w3.siemens.com/automation/jp/Documents/9_SIMATIC_S5_catalog_ST50_en.pdf Note that the -8MB12 is designed for ±20 mA signals, and the -8MC12 connects to 4-20 mA current inputs. You could eventually replace one by another, if the signal you are reading is unipolar (only positve signal), and with a reduced range (and accuracy). Or use a signal converter to transform the input signal fronm your sensor from ±20 mA to 4-20 ma before connecting to the new analog module. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
