Backup restore is not working in MP277

pakplc Posts: 35 Rating: (7)	In my MP277 10" , I am able to take backup on USB, by using Backup/Restore utility in window CE control panel. But when I am using restore it is not working instead displaying "storage card in not installed". Please guide how to restore with USB. regards pakplc ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from backup from my MP277 connect SD Card or USB Drive .

It works without Problems. If you use "Restore" the screen shows the devices which have a Backup available. but If you have mounted 2 or more Storage Devices like A Storage Card and a USB Stick then you cannot execute the Restore. then I pulled out the Storage Card and click to refresh. then I could select the USB Stick and perform a Restore. Be also careful the Multi Panels are not proven for "Plug and Play" like common Windows. So plug in your USB Stick and do a restart of the Panel then try the Restore. Do you have used the same USB Stick on the same Panel? Which Size has the USB Stick, try different one. Only the Siemens USB Sticks are released for the Siemens Panels. Bye Murof

pakplc Posts: 35 Rating: (7)	Hello Murof thanks for the answer. Only USB is attached to HMI, and backup utility is working, but restore did not works. Message display " no storage card installed" . I also tried this by restarting the HMI. Also please note that I could also see the directories and files of USB and also copy paste files normal in control panel. But Restore didn't work. I used different USBs ( 4GB, 8GB) types problem is same. But these all are commercially available USBs not from Siemens. Do you mean only Siemens particular USB will work? if so please give us it's part number. But Siemens did not mention this limitation in any of its HMI documentation. thanks for the help regards pakplc
