ACCESS TO SINAMICS DRIVES FROM ENGINEERING STATION

Kiiza Posts: 184 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I do have an Engineering Station running PCS7 v7.0. I do have SINAMICS drives that communicate to to my PLCs on Profibus networks. The Engineering Station communicates to the PLCs via ethernet, using ethernet CPs. The drives are some distance away from the control room and much as I can connect to each drive using Starter from my laptop, it is quite tiresome to move to each drive. I am just curious to know if there is a possibility that I can install Starter on the Engineering Station and be able to communicate to the drives from there. I appreciate the advice, Thank you guys.

But it depends on which PLC you use and if you configure the Routing in the project (assign PG/PC Station in Netpro) Regards Christoph
