Connection between Simulated Simatic Panel and physical PLC

marelli_superfici Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	I tryed to connect a Plc 1200 to the related HMI panel (basic color) simulated on PC. I connect first to the PLC by ethernet and then launch the simulation of the control panel. Done it I found that the PLC and HMI do not comunicate in this way, and so the simulation has no use. Could be that i have to follow a different procedure to link simulated panel to real plc? Or the comunication will not work anyway?

marelli_superfici Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	It doesnt allow me to change the setting of that connection, properties button is not selectable. In addition this should be switched everytime I would like to do something like this? If I want to simulate both plc and hmi i have to return to previous setting and then if plc real and hmi simulated again change it?

The button is inactive because the setting PLCSIM S7-1200/S7-1500 have no further properties. Insteed of PLCSIM S7-1200/S7-1500 select the Networkinterface from the list which is connected to the real PLC. Regards Christoph
