The AR1 is an ADDRESS REGISTER and contains a pointer to the input byte
(set of 8 inputs).  Let's assume AR1 contains pointer to PIB100:

The L / T performs a copy [MOVE in LAD].
In the above program the AR1 is most likely to be calculated to read different inputs
arranged in an identical way i.e. load inputs from machine 1, then load inputs from machine 2,
etc. where machine 1,2,....,n have the same layout of inputs.

The above is called an indirect addressing where address (in this case for READ) is
calculated in Runtime (i.e. in general changes during Runtime)

This code section will move 3 bytes of PIB[peripheral input] to data byte 47 through 49 of OPENed Data block.

The given info. is not sufficient to explain exactly the PIB no and DB no.

There must be instructions LAR1 and OPN DB. U need to mention them here.
