Sinamics S120 Power Block Problems

turbomook Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, Currently on our jack-up drilling rig we are having troubles with one of the VFD for moving the leg up and down. Currently when we press leg down hull up, the drive goes the opposite way but in high speed? A simple reset of the AOP (unplugging 24V DC power supply) rectifies the problem initially but after a short period of time, the same can suddenly happen again at any given time. This fault only happens when we press leg down hull up - never has it happened when we press leg up hull down. We believe this has also just caused our power block to fail. We got the error code F30022. Which we checked the IGBT power supply, checked the fiber optics cables etc, We have now replaced the power block with new and is working again but still we have the same problem with the leg going the wrong way. Power block - 6SL3352-1AG32-6AA1 The system is a 2 speed high and low system. Speed 2 should never be used under heavy load and we believe this caused the power block to fail. Speed 2 should only be used when no weight is present on the legs. Please can you assist with possible options on how to repair the problem as we do not want to damage another power block. Otherwise I couldn`t make any sense of it why the AOP reset solves this issue. I would recommend checking the speed setpoint of the drive. You can use the speed limiter to prevent the speed setpoint going in the wrong direction, when pressing leg down. If the power block fault (F30022) is directly linked to this behavior is hard to say but possible. If this doesn`t help I would recommend to contact our customer support for further analysis.
