how do you do the homing? Do you use Technology objects inside the PLC to home the axis or do you have the position control inside the drive (e.g. using Basic Positioner)? And what kind of encoder is used (absolute singleturn / absolute multiturn / incremental)?

When using the position control inside the drive and you have an absolute encoder, you can home via p2507 = 2 (it changes to "3" automatically when finished) and then copy Ram to Rom with the drive.

I am using absolute encoder. Teach home position through starter sowftware that time home position write in rom memory.

My question is how teach the home position through profinet communication.

copying Ram to Rom is possible via acyclic communication to p971. Same communication like to p2507.

But as stated before, you can use the block from the library. This block also does the saving Ram to Rom. You can also have a look into the block if you want. It is a step chain and the last step is to copy Ram to Rom after the encoder adjustment.
