Hi everybody! I am having troubles with adding a new SINAMICS device to my project. When I try to add a G120, G120C module or any one like those, it simply does not appear in the project tree and there is no error from TIA PORTAL. Due to the lack of any error message I cannot track the root of the problem. A friend of mine sent me another project which a G120 module is included but when I enter to its commissioning menu TIA Portal crashes. The current versions of my installed softwares are the followings:

TIA Portal (Step 7 and Wincc Advanced) : V13 SP1 Update 9

SINAMICS Startdrive: V13 SP1 Update 3

Windows 7 Professional SP1

HSP Firmware V4.7.6 devices V1.0: V13 SP1 Update 2 (for SINAMICS)

When I open TIA Portal Update, SP2 for SINAMICS V13 appears available to be installed. I thought it could be a solution but I need to update Step 7 and Wincc Advanced to SP2 too. Anyway, It should work with my current installed version.

Try this:

Reset computer.

Make a new project where you only add one PLC and one G120 (the exact model of Sinamics you want to use.

Open the project where you was working (which gives you troubles).

Make a compile of the HW configuration.

Copy and paste the G120 from the new project to the other project.
