I have a SIMIT UNIT type 9AE4122-2AA00 that I tried to upgrade the firmware at, but this seems to have failed. The network scan is not able to find it in the SIMULATIONUnit application software (V9.1) after the upgrade. On the other hand I am able to find it using the Primary Setup Tool software, but of som weird reason it appears as a device type "Bany". I was going to upgrade the firmware from v2.007.09 to v2.010.02. To be able to do that I had to upgrade to v2.009.03 first. The problem occured when upgrading from v2.007.09 to v2.009..03. Are the any other software tools that I can use to try to do the upgrade again with? Or any other way to set the unit back to original settings?

Hi, the simulation unit software is no longer supported by Siemens. I suggest you to use SIMIT program itself to upgrade the firmware of the CPU.
