I have HMI problem. When I connect my HMI with PLC via Profibus. It shows errors with message " 140001 connection disconnected: PLC 412-5H 2DP/NP, station 2,rack 0, slot 2".kindly suggest me solution to fix this my HMI PROBLEM.

Using HMI comfort 1500.

I have the same HMI problem, but via ethernet.  When I connect my HMI to the PLC via ethernet.  It shows the errors with the message "Connection 140001 disconnected: PLC xxx.xxx.xxx  station 2, rack 0, slot 2".  

how did you solve it?

Using the HMI comfort 1500 0AX1. 

- Is the ethernet cable defective?

- Does the PLC have the IP address mentioned in the error message and is it in the same rack?

- Are HMI and PLC connected directly (without using switch or router)?

The old HMI is working perfectly with the cable.  But I tested it with another cable and was not successful.

- Does the PLC have the IP address mentioned in the error message and is it in the same rack?

Yes.

- Are HMI and PLC connected directly (without using switch or router)?

No. There is a Cisco switch between HMI and PLC.  But I tested the point to point communication (HMI - PLC) and did not communicate.

are you using the Topology in your project? - Then you would have to use the defined ports.
