When you want to open brake manually, please use controlword (output) not statusword(input).

The motor holding brake can be released with control word 1 (STW1) via bit 12 (open holding brake). Important is to control the command in the “MC-PostServo [OB95]” block. Otherwise the technology object will overwrite the bit 12.

When using technology objects, automatically the variables from STW1 will be generated and are visible in the “standard variable table”.

For example, TO is named"S210_links_PositioningAxis".

Command “open holding brake” can be given with the following variable:

"S210_links_PositioningAxis_Actor_Interface_AddressOut".STW1.OpenHoldingBrake”

As I mentioned in the beginning, the command must be executed in MC-PostServo!

you are responsible for your program.

Normally it is not necessary to override STW1 in OB95, because brake opens, when TO becomes enabled.

You have to ensure that you only override STW1 in case of manual actions, not during automatic operation of the machine.
