Iwill get ready software on my laptop to control Simotion. and i think to control Simotion with my software using ethernet. As a generally, my software willuse one DATABASE.DAT file,This file will include every datas, inputs, outputsand all commands. and also the CONTROLLER D425will use same file(like DATABASE.DAT). now i am asking my question, is it possible like that. and if it is possible, can you send me any pdf file about the interface protocol for the ethernet? howwill i do that?

The parameters from the integrated drives can't be accessed directly via ethernet, but you can read the necessary parameters from the drive with sysfunctions to simotion and send it via ethernet to the pc or transfer it with OPC XML to a client which runs on the PC. As a result, to read and write any parameter to servo driver is possible. am i right? there will be ETHERNET connection beetweenMY LAPTOPand SIMOTION D425. But you must write the program to send and receive the parameters from the drive to the SIMOTION D425 and the program to transfer the values from the SIMOTION D425 to the PC. ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 1/22/2026 Posts: 22807 Rating: (3074)	Hello, functions for transfers between SIMOTION D425 and drive are: _read-/_writeDriveParameters; _read-/_writeDriveMultiParameters; _read-/_writeRecord Functions for communication between SIMOTION and PC are: _TCPsend-/_TCPreceive; _UDPsend/_UDPreceive. This functions are described in the SIMOTION Communication System Manual. Have you any knowledge with SIMOTION? SIMOTION only send/receive word values over Ethernet, no commands or so. You must write a program on the SIMOTION (in ST, MCC or KOP/FUP) to transfer the data and interpret the data. Some calculation routines for the drives and axises where made on the SIMOTION D425.
