i would like  to synchronize the speed 2 motors.1,master use frequency inverter and slave use AC servo drive.

speed mottor AC servo drive snchronize with speed mottor inverter.i use encremental encoder 1000 P/R identify velocity mottor inverter.

if you have example program code please share for me.

Hi,

the example from Jacek is a good one if you want to run the drives synchronously with an overlaid position controller.

We do not really know your requirements and your application. You just mention that you want to synchronize the speed - in the end I could say this is really simple: Just give the same speed setpoint to both drives so they will run with the same speed. But I think there is more behind your question so probablyyou need something like a position controlled synchronization. 

If you explain the application a little bit more detailed we can help you with more detailed answers/solutions for your problem.

My application is not use both drive.

1,frequency inverter control speed by potentiometer.

and i want to AC servo mottor run synchronize the speed with frequency inverter mottor

Your drawing is fantastic illustration of you scenario.

I have to suggestions:

1- If this is a new project and you still have option to upgrade, change the VFD and AC motor to to servo and you will get excellent sync with the right drives.

2- In any case it would be best to have the POT input to the PLC (which should have motion controller capability) and have the PLC control the two drives.

And the question above regarding if you want to synchronize speed only or position. Many time when a customer ask for to synchronize the speed of two conveyors he really means position.

Edit: I had a project a few years back to synch two AC motors with VFDs on two existing machine-conveyors and I had Emerson demo their 700 series for me and I was impressed but unfortunately the customer did not proceed with the project and I never got to see them in action. But they looked very promising.

so you have the encoder information on your PLC. So I suggest to use this signal as a master position and run the servo drive with a technology object (synchronous axis). 

The programming of technology objects is really quite simple. There are PLC open commands like MC_Powerr, MC_GearIn,.... to control the drive - I would say this is very intuitive.

By the way: Which servo drive and which PLC do you use?
