Hello,
i was trying to simulate my PC with PLCSIM V17 (not advanced!).
I was able to load my project into the plcsim and start it with the correct ip-adresses. But my visualization on the runtime pc cannot connect to it.

Does someone have an idea?

It only works with a runtime SIMULATION on my system.

yes, i had a real cpu 1500 connected and it worked. But we have to use the real one in another project, so i thought i just can simulate it with the plcsim.

Maybe i need to use another ip-adresses, because the real plc is still in the network?

EDIT2: i wonder, which ip the plcsim must be given. The ip adress of the server, on which the plc is running? My Runtime is running on another server

Have you choosed PLCSIM in the PG/PC interface ?

i doubt that this will work if they are on 2 different stations. 

I tested it woth both on the same PC and it worked instantly. PLCSIM and Panel SIMULATION. For communication to external PCs PLCSIM-Adv. is needed.

Hi,

this is the correct setting, aslong as you have S7ONLINE in the TIA-Portal aswell. It's the default value but is renamed if there are multiple connections. So Check here:

Then, make sure that the PLC is already running when starting the Unified Runtime. None of my network adapters have matching IPs with the real device IPs.

Mine looks the same. I also tried to start the PLC first.
May it only be possible with Runtime SIMULATION?
