FB password protection

dzwilu Bronze Member Joined: 12/3/2008 Last visit: 3/22/2022 Posts: 146 Rating: (4)	I would like to protect my FB with a password. But have absolutely no idea how to do this, is KNOW_HOW_PROTECT the only solution? And on the other hand how to protect FBs written in STL?? Regards dzwilu

I can set KNOW_HOW_PROTECT in SCL source and it works, although it can be easily removed :). But what I need is to share a function block with other users as a black box, without the possibility of edit, the function block is written in STL/LAD.

Don't forget to save the source somewhere, otherwise you loose the possibilty ofadditional changes as the block is locked. Regards Sydney

And this is normal. "KNOW_HOW_PROTECT" is very nice and elegant option but if someone wants to "steal"... Hope this will helps. Best regards
