Invalid connection via CP 343-1 (Modbus TCP)

Baher SH Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi guys, I am in a real problem here. here is the situation: I have a redundant S7-300 stations (software redundancy), the redundant station is connected to 5 single PLCs and one modbus TCP client (I'm the server in this case). what I'm trying to do now is to add one more TCP connection to my PLC (one more client). when I add a new connection into my Netpro (unspecified partner), and I click in route, it says (Via CP: invalid CP-343-1 Lean (R)/S4)) and the local IP address under the addresses tap is not defined (---.---.---.---).. please help me here :(((

Yes, you are right, but as I said, I'm the server here and to connect to a client the partner has to be unspecified with no active connection establishment. right? I'm just confused why I'm not able to add unspecified connections anymore (in this program only). I have 7 PLCs, I tried in all of them. ONLY one out of the seven allows me to add connection !! strange, no ?

Baher SH Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	HelloKaulquappe, S7 will not allow using the same port number. anyhow, I get this error before even selecting the port number. at the same page of assigning the port number, i can see that the local IP is set to (---.---.---.---) which usually has to read the local IP CP automatically.

Here you find the manual of CP343-1 Lean http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23643456 Can it be that you have reach the max. number of allowed SEND/RECEIVE- connections?? Baher SH Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	No, I didnt reach the limit yet, as the lean card supports up to 8 connections while I'm still using 6 only. Anyhow, I contacted Siemens Automation ME and they advised me to upgrade the SP4 to SP5 which I just did and it WORKS NOW :)))))))))) Thank you all guys for the support. Baher
