playerslight Posts: 1064 Rating: (72)	PPi should work . check you switch settings switch 4-7 should be off and 1-3 set your baud rate which has to match the tp177a this is on the ppi cable . also check the switches on the tp177a either switch 1 should be on or switch 4

I try whith this configurations: WinCC flexible: mode multimaster cable RS232/PPI port 4 baudrate 19200 multimaster cable only the switch 3 is on (an the led Tx is flicking slowly) TP177A channel 1 serial enable only error: check settings an cable

umencho Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/23/2026 Posts: 10248 Rating: (1183)	Order Number: 6ES7901-3CB30-0XA0 The RS232/PPI Multi Master cable (with 8 DIP switches) can be used if DIP switch number 5 is set to PPI/freeport ("0"). The cable must be dead for it to accept the change.

ByTelmeX Advanced Member Joined: 2/11/2008 Last visit: 6/4/2025 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Test 1TP177A settings:Enable Chanel 1 (serial).All dip-switches are off (mode DP/MPI/PPI).Multi-master Cable settings:Only dip-switch on is the 3th.(Before try transfer, the led PPI is on).WinCC flexible settings:Mode multi-master cable RS232/PPIPort com 18 (I have a converter USB/RS232)19200 baud rateResult of transfer:Is impossible to open the connect ion.Verify the settings, interfaces and cables.
