CPU Issue. Uploading from old and Downloading to new.

DaveA Posts: 78 Rating: (4)	Hi there. I currently have a machine which runs an old 315-2DP Processor (the bigger old type processor). We want to upgrade the 315-2 DP to a new version as the old one was obsolete a long time ago. When I upload off the old CPU and download to the new, not all the program works as some of the machines functions are halted? ??? I have checked all the I/O cards are compatible with the new CPU and it does seem to work but some of the program does not seem to fucntion. CPU info: Current (OLD) CPU = 6ES7 315 2AF03 0AB0 Replacement (NEW) CPU = 6ES7 315 2AH14 0AB0 I have ran this check to see if there would be an issue changing CPUs and found no errors: https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=13337010&caller=view Im now stuck

DaveA Posts: 78 Rating: (4)	The CPU runs ok after doing a H/W config download with the new processor. No red lights all green and going strong! Like I said it does appear to work but some parts of the code are obviously not been called? I have used the same size memory card that is in the old processor. Do the newer CPUs require more memory for Siemens background items???

Perhaps if you have drawings corresponding to the I/O map is possible to understand where is writing some non executive outputs and from there to follow the logic... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
