backup from K-TP178 to different model TP

wuk5418 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Sandman No this isn`t possible, if you do a backup from a TP178micro you can just restore it to a TP178micro (the backup gets a stamp for the device). The requirements are that you need a ASIA version of flexible 2005, all other needed information can be found in the FAQ. Dear Sandman, As you mentioned we can't restore program where we backup from K-TP178 todifferent model TP.How can we do that in order to download the backup program to the different model TP(HMI KTP600).Please advice. Due to K-TP178 Micro justavailablein china only, any idea what can I do for the replacement of K-TP178 ?Is it possible I use the backup program & download the Simatic HMI Basic Color DP?Any engineering/configuration need to be done?

You can not open a backup with WinCC flexible to change something. You need the WinCC flexible project of K-TP178. Now you can change the device type in WinCC flexible to KTP 600 and you can transfer this project from WinCC flexible to KTP 600. Tweety
