DONIZETE Posts: 4 Rating: (2)	Dear friend, hello! I'm a new client on Sinamics on itself (but old in automation). But, for this questions, I think I can help a little, with some tips, without so long details. This concepts are applied to all drives that uses vector control: a) The vector speed control is a way where you can separate the current control in two vectors (the drive does it by mathematical models of the motor, and for this reason it needs to be made by auto-adjustment in the final of the Commisioning steps); b) The vector speed control can be done in SENSORLESS MODE or with encoder. The difference is that with encoder, the response of the motor will be faster in loads variation. But in general ways, sensorless mode is enought for many applications. Encoder is a strong recomendation in applications with low speed controls (the motor must to be prepared for it, with separated independent fan); c) The torque controlis the control of the FORCE at the motor axis, not the speed. Is a special control used on machines on what THE FORCE at the machine must to be controled instead of the speed (i.e. drives in Master-Slave mechanically connected). d) In vector speed control (sensorless or with encoder), you can LIMIT the torque/force of the motor (i.e., to avoid specific mechanicalloads at the machine). It's not exact a control of the torque as the item above,only thelimit of it; e) In torque control, if the load of machine decreases, the speed of the motor will increase (the drive WANTS to reach the force that you want to control, for this it accelarate the motor). If this load decreases so much, the motor tends to speed up until the limit frequency parameterized. I think in your case, it's a normal SPEED control, on where you can use SENSORLESS Vector Control. If you need so much precision in that speed, particurlarly, low speed control, the encoder is the best way to work with. But remember, if you are using multi-motors in parallel, YOU MUST TO USE V/F CONTROL INSTEAD OF VECTOR. Best regards... DONIZETE - Brasil
