Simatec KTP400 Basic Color

Don_Zalmrol Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I've recently bought a Siemens PLC7 starter pack with the KTP400 Monochrome panel. However the monochromo types where out of stock, so I've gotten a color version instead! :) But now the problem arrises, how can I upload my compiled code to it? The TIA v11 only supports the monochrome types :( The IP is already set-up in the panel and on my computer. The screen is in offline mode and when I click on "Download to device -> Software (all)" I get connection failed as you can see in my attachment. The PLC works fine and dandy. This device type is supported from WinCC SP2, if you got a older WinCC V11 version you can´t project it. You can download in there: Service Pack 2 for WinCC V11 After the installation you just have to change the device type to a KTP400 color. best regards

Don_Zalmrol Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	The strange part is that the enclosed DVD is Simatic Step 7 Basic V11 SP2. When I try your link and install it, the setup says it has detected a newer version already installed on my system. When I go to the list of devices (HMI) and click on 4", it still says only the KTP400 mono series and not the color... Do I need to contact Siemens directly or is there a workaround for my problem?
