SIMOTION D425 in STOP U when turn ON

r.suriaga Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hi Everybody, I have got a SIMOTION D425, in the first DP port it has two encoders as slaves and in the second DP port it has a S7-315 PN/DP as Master. The machine works normally from monday to friday. On weekend my customer turn off the machine cutting off the power supply to SIMOTION D. When he turns ON the machine on monday, the SIMOTION stays in STOP U, and the customer must move the rotatory switch from 0 to 1 and to 0 again for that SIMOTION goes to RUN. I put a blank program in the tasks Technological Fault Task, Peripherial fault task and Execution fault task. Is this normal? What can I do to avoid that this happen? What do I need to do for that SIMOTION D goes to RUN when it is energized? Thanks for your help.

r.suriaga Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	In the diagnostic there isn't any indication about it. I'm not using the Fan & battery module, because this is optional for the SIMOTION D425. If I use this module is probably the problem be corrected?

I've changed the system variable of Simotion _startupData.operationMode from "LAST STATE" to "RUN", it help to avoid the change from 0 to 1 and 0 again, it worked for two times, and again the same problem. "Error occurred while reading a system or I/O variable" (IpoSynchronousTask) In Line 91 you have a station failure on DP2 (node1). Check you peripherie , i think you read a not available I/O Point in you program, in this case the D425 go to stop. You can define a strategy for you I/O variables in Scout or a substitution value to solve this problem. Regards Christoph

SieMuzzy Posts: 59 Rating: (2)	Hi I have had same problem so I relized because of programing fault, I might recommand check program especily you check dividing operations for example: number / zero, this operation might have caused your problem ( cpu go to stop) Best regards.

You have to define the strategy for every input you have , for example in the i/o, select the byte(s) ofyour inputs and select the appropriate strategy at startup. This is definetly one of the most sad things of siemens, hehe

P.Hyldgaard Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	I had the same problem just resently with D425 v.4.3 - solved the problem by creating a startup task just with a delay timer set for 20sec. I think it helped as the profinet system thereby had sufficient time to wake-up - so to speak! I think the problem came as the new version 4.3 has much faster boot sequence than v. 4.2
