TIN Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear all This is the first time I got to this forum. I got an old Simatic OP27, 6AV3627-1jk00-0AX0. I need to take a backup from it to replace it with a OP27. Please let me know how to do this and which type of software to backup it. Thanks for any help. Tin

TIN Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, We have a cable(6XV1440-2KH32) which connecting from OP27 -->Allen-Bradley SLC5/03. this cable can usetobackup data from OP-->PC after that uploading it to a new one? Please let me know how to setting OP27 and Prosave software to backup it, are there any problems when I do this. Thanks for any help. Best Regards

Wizard Diamond Expert Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 9097 Rating: (1202)	Hi TIN, You have the right cable to backup the OP27 When you want to backup, you connect the OP27 with the cable to the PC. Put the OP27 inDownload mode. Put the power off, press ESC and the cursor up and hold them when the OP starts up, now the OP will go to Download mode, without losing the project. Start Prosave -> select the panel (OP27) -> select the Connection (serial) and go to Tab Backup, here you select Complete backup. Hope this will help, Best regards, Wizard

I did as you recommended butcan not, during backup I get an error message as follows "Could not open the file". Hereare the steps I took backup it. 1.Press ESC and the cursor up key and hold them when power up. 2. Select the Panel OP27, select connection is serial and click Backup 3.Select Complete backup ->Click Start backupIsee a window Progress: Data is tranfered... aftare that I have received an error message "Could not open the file" Could you tell me whatIm doing wrong?
