There are patches for that issue, originally from resin.io. I've rebased them a while ago. As this question comes up frequently, let me try to refresh and at least publish them over the weekend. The plan is still to bring them upstream into golang eventually, but that may require more work.

[UPDATE] Turned out to be more complex, but now I think I even understood why some of the docker binaries never picked up the Quark tunings. Still need to package the results and publish, stay tuned. Oh, will be Go 1.6.x only for now, patches would require rebasing to newer versions.

Yes, I will try to get them upstream. Just waiting for the internal approval to sign (or have someone else sign) the Google contributor license agreement, which is a precondition.

Meanwhile, you can also build your own IOT2000 image with Go included using the recipes that are now part of current master. I was using oe-meta-go for that.
