iam trying to read DB by using prosim lib inside excell macro.
I added it in macro 
i can get cpu status but 
i couldn't use readDBValue method " i got error ( expected function or variable )

Please advise what should i do.

Hi,

If you want to export DB to PC, it is easy you can generate DB and open in Excel.

But if you want to control and watch program parameters with excel - or a screen prepared on VB - you should use OPC server with like "Kep Server" programs.. You can control I/O's with a Windows From Application also..

there are 2 probably scenarios how to connect/get data from/to PLC. The first is to create own open communication on both sides, PLC and PC, on PC own application craeted with high-level language via socket f.ex. The second scenario is using some OPC system or specific driver. The main difference is that you don't need create comunication bloks on PLC and PC side, OPC system on PC will do everything. With this you can look directly to PLC data and collect them to PC. There are many OPC systems, payware or free. If you are skilled to create your own application on PC you can look at some threads on this forum how can be this realised. I mean that libraries like Libnodave, Snap7,... So this is probably idea what you need to think for first. Give info.
