I want to Conect some incremental encoders to HSC CPU S71200 in a project to get axis position value.

But I want the position values retain to after the CPU restarts.

How can I edit this logic and what is the best solution??.

Store the value in retentive memory, in S7 1200 retentive memory needs to be set first. Choice retain collum inside DB

Just check the box of retain value in DB view and compile and download this program.

You will get the value after the CPU restart unless a master reset is done by a programmer.

I'm also having doubts about retention, even if I move% ID1000 to a retentive memory at the CPU restart, it clears the memory values, I believe that% ID1000 overwrites zero in this memory that was retained with some value. If you have more details about retaining incremental encoder values.
