ABSL Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello Everybody, Could you please help me in the following issue: I have a project in Simatic Manager with F-Safety CPU317F 2PN/DP. I have to makesome changes in the hardware,logics and blocks but it needs "password for safety program" and I don't have that password because I have not entered/assigned any password for the system. Could you please tell me how I can remove the password or whether there is a way to get rid off that. Thank you for your help in advance. Cheers ABSL

umencho Grandmaster Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/2/2026 Posts: 10244 Rating: (1183)	Why can't you load fail-safe blocks into the CPU?Basically the passwords are to protect and can not be over jumped. Ask for password or try to remember it. OR make a memory reset of CPU and will remove the password together with software. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

ABSL Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Thanx Hristo, But I have not downloaded the project in CPU yet. I mean that the project is in Simatic Manager and under editing. I have made this project from scratch, added some safetymodules and blocks. I just wanted to make some changes in that project after that but now it needs password (I don't know why). Cheers ABSL

umencho Grandmaster Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/2/2026 Posts: 10244 Rating: (1183)	If the CPU is not working and the project is in Simatic Manager try it - The CPU Password can be removed by simple step given below Slot the MMC in the programming device (PG) or in the SIMATIC USB prommer on your laptop/PC. In the SIMATIC Manager select "File". Select "S7 Memory Card" ==> "Delete..." Ather possibility is to take a new MMC. best regards, Hristo Mihalev

ABSL Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Dear Hristo, Thanx for your help, but I don't have any CPU at the moment and I have not downloaded the project in the CPU yet. I have just created project in Simatic Manager and no CPU hardware is available,therefore there is no MMC card for removing password. Is there any other solution? Regards, Abie

asv rus Posts: 1 Rating: (2)	привет! это очень просто: 1) создай новый проект и вставь станцию "Station S300" + необходимый CPU; 2) в закладке "Protection" => задай пароль для wardware (для CPU) - 1-й пароль safety; 3) добавь станцию ET200S (любую) + добавь любой модуль с функцией safety в ET200S => задай пароль для safety programm - 2-й пароль safety; 4) компилируй (compile); 5) копируй все модули из hardware старого проекта в новый + компилируй (compile) => аппаратная часть готова! 6) копируй все блоки из "Blocks" старой программы в "Blocks" новой программы. НО!!! необходимо при копировании разрешить перезапись только "ОВ1", а все остальные блоки (FBs, DBs) переписывать не надо (пропускаем замену). При этом необходимо будет ввести пароль - вводим новый пароль для safety programm. - ВСЁ.... пользуйся!

При этом необходимо будет ввести пароль - вводим новый пароль для safety programm. - ВСЁ.... пользуйся! translate with babelfish: hi! it's very simple: 1) Create a new project and paste the station "Station S300" + Required CPU; 2) tab "Protection" => Specifies the password for wardware (for CPU) - 1st password safety; 3) add station ET200S ( any) + add any module with the function of safety in ET200S => Specifies the password for safety programm - 2nd password safety; 4) are compiled (compile); 5) Copies all of the hardware modules of the old project to the new + compiled (compile) => hardware is ready! 5) Copies of all hardware modules of the old project to the new + compiled (compile) => hardware is ready! 6) copies all blocks of the "Blocks" old program "Blocks" of the new program. BUT! must allow overwriting when copying only "OB1", and all other blocks (FBs, DBs) rewrite is not necessary (skip replacement). This will need to enter a password - enter the new password for the safety programm. ALL enjoy it ....
