I have some files with ".s5" extension. Is it a program file? I thought that Step 5 programs are stored under <name@@st.s5d> . My customer has sent me a file with ".s5 " extension and I don't know if that's right. |

Rename the file and see if you can open it in Step5 |

Hello joseA the ".s5" extension is one part of the program file for use by the "S5 for Windows" editor. The other one file you will need together with this has a".s5p" extension and of course S5 for Windows itself(which you can get from IBH Softec). Since your customer obviously uses S5 for Windows, you can also ask him to do a "Save as" ofthe S5 for Windowsfile into the Siemens Step5 format (ST.S5D extension). I hope this helps |
