kiqbal Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi all, Can anybody help me in selecting the software licenses for SICAM PAS server software. I have checked in the SICAM PAS catalog and found the description “Full Server” runtime & configuration license for more than 15 units" Order No: 6MD9000-1AA00-7AA0 Can somebody tell me that what is meant by 15 units. Is it the No. of IEDs that can be communicated or the no of SICAM Station units. I need licenses for 16 SICAM Station Servers. How many licenses I would need? Urgent please, Regards, KI Splitted from SICAM PAS Redundancy.

This is something new from Siemens. I hope it is not IED's. I have connected more than 50 IED in a single SICAM PAS V6.0. Maybe someone that has been ordering V7.0 knows this or someone from Siemens sales department. Best Regards Ensar

You can now by licenses depending on the number of IEDs connected (15 in your example) or 2000 Information points. Note that it is one or the other limits. You can have 50 devices with this license, but cannot exceed 2000 information. This concept is valid for configuration and runtime licenses. If you have 16 Sicam FullServers, you need to order 16 Fullserver Runtime licenses, each one with the necessary protocol. If all this 16 Servers have less than 15 IEDs or 2000 Information, you can buy this "medium license" which you mentioned Mike J

As possible realize the issue to information with one pair(vapour)s server on another and it is necessary some additional ON on these server? Forgive for my english

You must have a DIP for each server. A server (or a redundant pair) can support several connections/protocols. Only if your project is too big, or if you really want to have several server, then you should have as you described. Otherwise 1 server or a redundant pair is enough. Mike
