Hello,

I am somewhat new to SIMATIC Manager... I am using a CPU 315-2 PN/DP and was trying to download some blocks into it. It was working fine till yesterday but now it shows an error saying possible memory bottleneck (and shows Free/Total memory as 0/0 bytes]. I did a memory reset, but still no use.

It is a new PLC so I don't think its a hardware fault. I can switch to Online mode and see what blocks are present in the PLC (Only SFCs &SFBs now, since I did a memory reset) so that means I can connect to it...

PS: One thing to note though, I was building the code while connected to PLC and I once changed the interface of an FC which was already called in the main program, so an error popped up saying the PLC could go into STOP mode (which it did), but I just ignored it like I always do. I don't know if this could've lead to the problem....

I just did that. The name and IP address were removed. I then assigned an IP through the 'Edit Ethernet Node' in HW config but when I try to connect/download it now says "Connection Could not be established. The connection Partner is not responding"

Did I do anything wrong??

Ok, the CPU has a new IP address.  Is it also possible to assign a Device name?

Can you confirm that the IP addresses of PLC and PC are in the same range?

Do you have another MMC card?

Yes, I can assign IP and name through HW config. (The confirmation message shows up saying action was successful). But when I try to download to/upload from Module, it shows an error with the connection.

(Yes, the IP addresses are also in the same range with the correct subnet masks -  I can even ping the PLC from command prompt)

I also do have another memory card and I replaced that and tried too
