Motor Temperature Sensor

Avinash N Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Dear Expert, When P0601=0 means no sensor is selected, but the drive calculates motor temperature using thermal model. What will be the accuracy of this model for MM-440??? Usualy at what temperature the drive trips??? Regards, Avinash N

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Avinash, Thermal model in the drive is based on equivalent circuit data of the motor. During commissioning, motor rated data and equivalent circuit data (resistance, inductance of motor elements) is entered. The accuracy of the model will depend on how accurate entered data matches real life motor values. That is why, it is recommended during commissioning to run automatic motor identification, in order for the drive to measure the equivalent circuit values and adjust the model accordingly. During operation, based on the current supplied to the motor, the drive calculates resulting motor temperature.

You can also change this value by parameter P604. But maimum setting is 200 degreeC. Regards Pranab

Drive will give warning on reaching Temp Set in P604 and trip on exceeding 10% of Threshold Value set in P604..
