CP441-1 and 3964R max telegram size?.

ramiv Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Hello i am experiencing some problems with communication using 3964R, and now think that we might have too long telegrams. I have tried to find a manual / document saying what is max telegram size, but all i can find from the internet is for newer versions, so if anbody has old manuals; What is max 3964R telegram size for CP441-1 ?. Card order number: 6ES7 441-1AA03 0AE0 revision 3 V1.0.3

ramiv Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Thanks, but what i noticed was that the call parameter pointer P#DB5.DBX0.0 BYTE 446 had too small size definition, and incoming message was 504 bytes long. The receive box DB5 was actually 1.5kbytes long, maybe that is why i did not get an error message from SFB13 BRCV that the receive mailbox is too small. So it seems that the mailbox size error actually works only if the mailbox really is too small, if the error is on the pointer-size parameter then you get no error, but also no data cames out from the BRCV call. (=recv box is not filled with the meessage)

With receive mailbox ("Empfangsfach" in picture ) there are max 450 Bytes With BRCV only, there are max 4kbyte look at manual (also newers) [capture 6.3.2 and capture 6.3.3] hope this helps regards Attachment 3964R_CPx41.jpg (173 Downloads)
